Sean's career started on the floor of the NYBOT trading cocoa, coffee and sugar. He progressed to a hedge fund and then was recruited to run a $28 billion dollar portfolio at AIG. Dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals living on the autism spectrum, Autism Speaks supports research and oversees various advocacy programs aimed at increasing understanding and acceptance of people with the disorder. Throughout 2020, the organization is inviting supporters to join its efforts to make 2020 the Year of Kindness.

The Year of Kindness initiative is a component of Autism Speaks' 15th-anniversary celebration. To highlight 15 years of progress, the group is reintroducing itself with an updated online platform that includes a new, more colorful puzzle-piece logo to signify the varied experiences and perspectives of those living on the spectrum. The website will also feature more stories from the people and families affected by the disorder.
To build its "Year of Kindness," Autism Speaks is challenging its community and supporters to complete one million collective acts of kindness throughout 2020. These can include volunteering for Autism Speaks or another organization or simply helping someone in need. Supporters are invited to share their acts of kindness at autismspeaks.org/kindness and to join the group's #KindnessCounts challenge on social media.
